With reference to the earlier announcement dated April 16, 2011, regarding the sale of the Company's Chloro Chemicals Division to Aditya Birla Chemicals (India) Ltd. (ABCIL), Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd has now informed BSE that the aforesaid transaction of the sale of the Company's Chloro Chemicals Division to ABCIL has been closed and completed on May 23, 2011 and the Company has received consideration of Rs. 830 Crore (Rupees Eight Hundred Thirty Crore only).
Consequent to the closing of the sale, the Company's Chloro Chemicals Division stands transferred to ABCIL.
