It is 10% of the value of trade . Suppose the nifty is at 5000 then the value is 5000 * 20 (lot size) = 1 lakh and the margin is aproximately 10000.

Also keep in mind to keep some amount for Mark to market difference .

So you can trade 1 lot of Mini nifty with an amount of say aprox 12 to 15 thousand

[sharetrading] Profit booking zone

 

One has to book profit, at least partial profit, in the range between 5330 - 5400 levels, and wait for a dip for fresh entry.
 
Wait with cash in hand or one can enter in a stock which is not participated in this rally.

50000 is for nifty & 27000 for mini approx. depending on volumes your broker will give you margin
