U can go in for medium or long term small caps scrips.But do not trade with marginal funds offered by brokers.

[sharetrading] World Markets

 
US markets are sitting on a perch and even a reasonable sized fall <3PC> can bring about bearishness, whereas small dn mv <Increments of 0.2-0.5PC> cd be seen as an oppurtunity for buying in. Only a sustained 2-3 day fall lend some view on a direction, like a top has been created. There is serious resistance for DJI at 11000-11500. As well as good support in 10000 region. As of now DJI is abv TL's and is on a upward path................... If it maintains the same momentum, then markets are tragetting another 15PC higher in next 3 months.
EU markets fare better in chart pattern.
In Asia, ex Indonesia, Japan, India, Australia, all other markets do not exhibit good patterns.

anita.. it seems you want to invest and trade..

so i suggest that you 2 buy shares of hdfc @ 2500 or near abouts in next 2 week period as it falls.. for a long term investment..

if your investment is looking for a 10 % gain in next 2-3 months, then i suggest you buy any of these 3

gmr infra @ 56
ivrclinfra @150
unitech @ 70

i dont suggest you start trading imdiately now ,.. as you are new..

thanks abe, for the reply

my experience with calsref
i bought few quantities long back...
recently i tried to sell the stock but why i dont know i was unable to sell the stock
the system didnt allow me by giving a msg something like there is no trading happening for this stock, when i observed in day trading...the price was varying...
and my account was ICICI demat

finally i personally feel to be away from a penny stock like calsref.

Plus various brokers conducts some kind of investor meetings. One advantage of going for that is meeting some like minded persons in local area. A combination study and understanding will be beneficial over a long period in time.
Please stay away from investing big money esp in peak time like now..
It is usual that many retail investors enter at such peak times and are unable to see their money for many a year.
If you must invest, pls do so only in NIFTY stocks...
