Presently have been noticing that any position taking has been triggered out.
There is game in market only for few points. Stay with scrips w/good parentage.
Oil cues indicate a jump up. Hence mostly bulls will prevail as it is expiry day………
Weekly close > 5234, ride to 5500 is intact.
This would be 5th week of +ve close, considering 1 week neutral also to be positive. Last time 9 straight +ve close. Before that also similar numbers barring 2 neg weeks. Each time a marginal high before correction. Will it be true this time around? Indicators suggest 2 weeks near this area or above.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Stocks dipped Wednesday after the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady, as expected, and said it would continue to do so for the foreseeable future. The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) lost 16 points, or 0.2%, roughly 5 minutes after the 2:15 p.m. ET announcement. The S&P 500 (SPX) slipped 5 points, or 0.5%, and the Nasdaq (COMP) composite dropped 10 points, or 0.4%. The central bank opted to hold the fed funds rate, a key overnight banking rate, steady at historic lows near zero. In its closely-watched statement, the bankers said the economic recovery is proceeding and the labor market is "improving gradually." But the bankers also cautioned about the weakness in the housing market and the "less supportive" financial conditions as a result of the "development abroad," meaning the European debt crisis. Stocks slipped in the morning after the May new home sales report showed a steep drop in activity to the worst level on record. But stocks managed to cut losses in the hour leading up to the Fed announcement. Here's a look at what was moving before the announcement |
India's central bank may raise interest rates "anytime" after inflation unexpectedly accelerated last month, said Pronab Sen, the government's top statistician.
Core inflation, which excludes food and fuel, is becoming "worrisome," Sen told reporters in New Delhi today. Sen isn't connected with the central bank, which sets the monetary policy.
Core inflation accelerated to 6.58 percent in May from 0.8 percent in December, according to Nomura Holdings Inc. economist Sonal Varma. Reserve Bank of India Governor Duvvuri Subbarao said June 18 that rates will be increased in a "calibrated" way, given the cash shortage in the economy and risks to growth posed by Europe's debt crisis.
The yield on the 10-year government bond gained one basis point to 7.58 percent at 11:13 a.m. in Mumbai after Sen's comments.
India's benchmark wholesale-price inflation rate advanced 10.16 percent in May.
"It can do it at anytime," Sen said, referring to the central bank increasing borrowing costs. "That is a call they have to take."
The Reserve Bank has increased rates twice since mid-March and is scheduled to announce the next monetary policy decision on July 27. The bank's reverse repurchase rate is 3.75 percent and repurchase rate is 5.25 percent.
Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on June 21 said inflation of between 3.5 percent to 4 percent is "tolerable."
