RE: [sharetrading] ASSAMCO

Inputs of all kinds are welcome. After all it is up to each of us to make the choice. My advice to all those who are new are to stick to Nifty 100 in early years of trading. At worst 200. I check a little of operation action intra day and delivery positions and do not much go for promoter characters unless public holding is very high (<20%). I try to stick with above average traded scrip’s.

PS: There is a buy call on Sterling Bio in one of the reports Ekam had sent (Public < 7%).

With Obama effect pervading over Copenhagen summit (as expected), there is bound to be a positive reaction in short tern and a negative one in near term after the euphoria is over.

Short positions to be careful above 5000. Close above 5030, reverse positions. Above 5050, strong rally is expected.

Abe

i was holding sterling bio when it was sterling tea :-).

Though it have given very good return to me & my broker always refer to this script as my script ( i am a small investor & not an operator ;-) ) , i am not so optimistic about the management.

I consider Assam tea , sterling tea, Teledata & BSl infotech all in a same category. Though last three has given me good returns still i cant say they are fundamental picks but consider them as a  speculative.

This are my views & i am not a good reader of fundamentals. :-)

Please note I express views on scrip’s in which I have interest:

Typically if anyone holds more then a certain percentage, it will trigger an open offer. But in this case, the holdings are all small. But in days to come, it is a bright candidate for same.

Please visit - http://www.assamco. com/

As per my calculations BV is Rs 13 for a Rs 1 face value. IV is small presently. It has 15000 hectares of land and interests in oil & gas in India and abroad. It is the field of high premium teas.

As per BSE filing for September report - The production of oil and gas at present, has been restricted pending commissioning of gas re-injection project after which the production of oil / oil condensate is expected to increase substantially.

So it is a question of time before the prices spike. Be patient. In my expectation it should happen soon.

------------ --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- -

As for sterlinbio – It has come to this level, almost non-stop from 223. It is on the 5th step down on weekly charts FV is Rs 1. BV – 53. IV – 370. Vis a vis other peers a 50% discount, will value it near Rs 165. Q on Q sales has gone up for last 5 quarters. Employee cost is substantially up last Q. In these days of reduction in employees, this cost moving upward, should indicate value in near term.  Interest costs have trebled. Wonder why? There has been a dilution of equity however, hence the reaction. See filing on BSE for September Q - During the Quarter the Company has issued 964,323 equity shares of Re 1/- each pursuant to conversion of FCCBs.

So in my opinion it will find bottom at worst near 83 if Dec Q is bad even if above matters are not taken into account.

Asaam Co. , despite being from a tea sector which saw a good run up, is still lying low. Mainly because of the concern pertaining to the promoters.

Dear Mr. Abe

If I am not mistaken the share's face value is Re.1 and is a good investment bet in the oil sector also.

Having some shares bought a while ago at 16 - what could be the target expected, technically, please do share if possible.

CMP -18.9 This scrip is showing strength and is a div paying co.

It has conv deb at 23.5 or so. It has higher depreciation indicating investments. Last Dec results were poor. With lower monsoons, tea harvest must be higher, hence this Q results should be better. Public share holding just 20% indicating better interest from FI’s. promoters are foreign holdings.

Presently buy signal is on. SL 17.8

Buy at your risk…… Holding period over 1 month.

Abe

[sharetrading] Marc Faber

Hi

Today i.e 19 December I saw a snippet of Marc Faber's presentation/Reprt on CNN. Does anyone have link on youtube for the same?

I know I am not giving too much details, coz I don't know much about it myself.
