Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd has informed BSE that as per Order dated April 11, 2011 issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, Dr. J. M. Phatak, I.A.S. has been relieved of his duties as CMD, REC Ltd. with effect from the actual date of his relinquishing the post. In pursuance of the said order, Dr. J. M. Phatak has relinquished charge of the post of CMD, REC Ltd. w.e.f. the afternoon of April 16, 2011.
Further the Company has informed that as per another Order dated April 11, 2011 issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, Shri H. D. Khunteta, Director (Finance), REC Ltd. has been assigned the additional charge of the post of CMD, REC Ltd. for a period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier. In pursuance of the said order, Shri H. D. Khunteta has assumed charge of the post of CMD, REC Ltd. with effect from the afternoon of April 16, 2011.
The Company has also informed that Shri Khunteta is holding 5000 Equity Shares in REC Ltd. as on April 16, 2011.
