Dear Prashant,
 
An excellent idea. Please go ahead with it. We should be allowed to buy/sell, with in Real time. Reshuffling of the portfolio to be allowed every monday, as suggested by you. Let it be very flexible, so that there is a good participation, but it will be very tedious for the person who sits down during the market hours, to take the trades.
 
If real time trades are not allowed, we might not really be competing. Also, timely entry and exit, is must for a TA, otherwise the whole charm is dead.
 
The trades could be taken on yahoo messenger. It can even be checked with time after the market hrs., on real time basis from Intraday softwares, if the traded price was right or not.
 
but i believe there should be lot of flexibility as if somebody is investing the amount in the market, getting in and out, according to their expertise, then, there will be a point, of such competitions.

This is a good idea.
 
You might recall we had a different yahoo group a few years back started for this very purpose, but I think only 8-9 of us had participated.
 
I suggest there should be one very big condition that all trades must be based on TA only and MUST be accompanied with charts.

Hello,

I am thinking of running a Stock Trading / Investment Contest out
here. The contest will be more of Investment based ( Weekly change in
Portfolio allowed) with a fixed Capital. A US focussed yahoo group has
been doing this for the last couple of years and it really is
interesting to say the least. I would like to have Real Money as
Prize, but am yet to decide on that.

Would like to know what will interest you in being part of it. All
suggestions welcome.

All thoughts welcome.
