**[investwise]** Sugar Falls, No Bottom In Sight

 

SUGAR DROP: Sugar fell nearly 5 percent Friday amid expectations that the global supply will be plentiful for the first time in about two years. The price has fallen about 51 percent from a 29-year high in early February. DOLLAR EFFECT: The dollar grew stronger against the euro and other currencies Friday. A stronger dollar makes commodities less appealing to foreign investors since most commodities are priced in dollars. METALS: Gold rose while silver and other industrial metals ended the day lower.
