Re: [sharetrading] EMA V/S SMA

Hello Mukesh,

All MAs are lagging indicators.. so not really trend setters... they are more of a trend following indicators...
I think EMA are more apt then SMA.. but everyone has their own viewpoints.. you talk of the 200 day level.. so I consider you are a long term player.. in that case... you need to have a global view of the stock cycle.. and the company fundamentals and what they want to do..etc..etc..

if you are really wanting to catch trend setting indicators.. you can google with the same keywords and you will get a lot of things..  RSI is a trend setter indicator... there are lots of others too... the tech. wizards in our group can add on...

Subject: [sharetrading] EMA V/S SMA

Hi,

Is any can advice which MA is better for the trend setter? Either Simple moving Average(SMA) or Exponential Moving Average(EMA) ? Mainly for 200days.

Look forward to receive valued guidance from Techi Expert.

Regards,

Mukesh
