If you are unsure if there is infection at your end, just clean the cache, use Ad-Aware / Spybot to clean and also run a full system scan using your Anti-Virus.
In addition, once a week or thereof, I prefer scanning online from http://
housecall.trendmicr o.com/ . This ensures that in the event that the local anti virus has been compromised, the same shall be known.
