I think it is other way round.

 

DMI period is 13 and ADX period is 8.

As per my interpretation, the adx line is 13 period and the dmi is 8 period. Don't know abt metastock or any other soft for that matter.

Vish, Thanks. In the Indicator area, in the normal Metastock or Falcon or Iris, I find  that there is only one time period, i.e 14 period stipulated. The presentation shows 13,8 as periods. Possibly one is the period and the other is the average line. But none of the systems permit the average line. What do I do?
