Wyeth Ltd has been acquired by Wagner Acquisition Corp., a direct, wholly-owned subsidiary of Pfizer Inc., through a scheme of merger effected pursuant to and as per the prevailing laws of the United States of America. The merger of Wyeth and Wagner Acquisition Corp. has become effective as on October 15, 2009 and as a result of the merger, Pfizer Inc. is now the parent Company of Wyeth and hence the ultimate parent of the Company. Wyeth Ltd has informed BSE that the Register of Members & Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from April 08, 2010 to April 21, 2010 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of Payment of Dividend & Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company to be held on April 21, 2010.
