trendlines are the best in any time frame, eventhough higher time frame trendlines are more stronger. when the trendline is drawn joining more points, more and more gets the trendline strength and if u check any professional traders charts, whoever it is, using rsi,using candlesticks or anything, they do use trendlines a lot.
even from a perspective of a newbie, trendlines is something which can be done very easily.just go on drawing trendlines in different time frames and u can even trade with it. entry and exits are also seen to be perfect with trendlines.
just see that when u draw trendlines, maximum no.of available points are used because they are the strongest and most valid ones.
along with trendlines if u use simple indicators like rsi,stoch or adx, a system is almost complete infact.
google for trendlines and u get enough no. of links, read them, see some trendlines videos on youtube and u are almost there.
try it out guys....it works i bet...

Trendlines are important tools. While different people may draw the lines differently, the importance increases with the time frame covered / the number of points touched. Many patterns evolve from combination of trendlines only. Long term trendlines are important for everybody whether he is an investor or a day trader. Trendlines are quite useful even in day trading.

why 5162 was important ? Simple ! If you remember previous swing from 5181 high to 4539 low, the length of the swing was 642, but the Nifty closed at 4563 on the same day , that is, 3rd Nov.If we consider the length of the swing from the close, then it comes to 618. If we add 4539 to 618 , it comes to 5157.This is Fibonicci projection of the same length.And if we consider the swing length from the low of that day then it comes to 649. Trend lines are very subjective & technicians don't all subscribe to a standard definition.
10 ppl will draw 10 different trendlines for a single stock chart.... Cant help it :)
