Maharashtra government has declared a holiday today, with schools, colleges and offices to be shut down by 1400 hours (2pm) due to a cyclone alert, reports CNBC TV18. The cyclone may not further intensify, but Mumbai and Daman regions may see heavy rains, says Ajit Tyagi of the Met Department.  Avoid Taking position Or square of the positions before 1.50 p.m.
