HI RSM, In your portfolio window, above the advertisement you can see  all the indices are displayed. Bank Nifty, CNX 100, CNX IT, CNX Midcap, S&P CNX Nifty etc., (right click on any one the above, and click on "Edit Indices", you can arrange the order of the indices to be displayed according to your preference). Double click on the S&P CNX NIFTY and the intra day chart will be displayed. Double click on the intraday chart, in the resultant Box you get everything you need to make a chart. Chart type: Line chart, OHLC (Bar chart) candle stick etc. I use range chart. To get this in "Chart Type" select "Range OHLC". Back to the original window, below "Chart type" you can see "Bar Range" and click on it, in the small message box against "custom frequency" type the number 12. (You can try from 8 to any number and see how the chart look with your favorite indicators and can decide on the number which you feel reduce the noise. Personally I prefer 12 and for smaller time frame 8). In the similar way you can right click on the chart, click select indicators and plot whatever indicator you want on your chart. You get historical data only for individual stocks and for indices only Intra day charts are available. And there is a time delay in getting the real quote. Just keep checking with your brokers terminal. In the Help menu under help topics everything is explained very clearly. Kindly go through "Getting started" under help topics and you will be familiarized with all functions. Had I was not at my lunch table, I would have entered at 4977 the pivot level,  because when the price touch the upper BB, the upper band was slopping up nicely  and the lower band is also slopping down which is a very good sign of a good run upwards. Second and most important thing, I use 12 Range bar for trading Nifty futures and I usually check before I enter, with 8 Range bar chart to confirm the trend in both charts. Usually cross overs and signal triggering happens first in the smaller range bar chart 8 R. But to my surprise, this time MACD crossed first in 12 Range bar chart and at that particular time 8 R chart was still bearish. I quickly realized there going to be a fast and furious move upside.
