Proposal of Change of Name of the Company

Fortis Healthcare Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company has, on January 10, 2011, approved the following proposals:

1. To Change the name of the Company from "Fortis Healthcare Ltd' to 'Fortis Healthcare (India) Ltd'; and

2. To seek shareholders' approval to the Special Resolution for changing the name of the Company, by way of Postal Ballot.
